Obama victory is significant for the world order on equity

Obama victory is significant for the world order on equity — Gov. Daniel

Governor, Gbenga Daniel has described the victory of Barrack Obama in the U.S Poll as having a major significance in the world order of equity justice and fairplay.

According to Daniel in a statement signed by his Press Officer, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya "the victory of Barrack Obama has a very large implication for the world order. For the first time in history, it is now clear that there is nothing inferior in the black pigmentation.

It is clear that equity and justice is the way forward in the new world order and the Americans have demonstrated that we cannot say that a man is inferior on account of his place of birth or his state of origin or his colour".

Said Daniel "For us as Africans, there are so many lessons that the victory of Obama has thought and will continue to teach us. You can look at it from virtually all angles. In the construction industries, I am particularly excited because you can now see that what an expatriates company can do, an indigenous company can also do. You can now see that there is nothing wrong in dreaming dream; you can see that with determination, there is nothing that is impossible.

The governor said Africans would also learn lessons from the American’s electioneering campaign, "We can learn lessons in electioneering campaign, we can see months and months of campaigning without any traces of violence, we can even see people who are contesting shaking hands and few minutes after the election has been fought won and lost, the looser is already congratulating the winner.

"You can begin to compare that with what we have in this part of this world where people who didn’t go out to campaign are contesting elections, making sure that the whole process of governance is distorted. These are the kinds of lessons we are learning from the American experience", added Daniel.

Daniel, who expressed confidence that Obama would be one of the most successful American Presidents based on his antecedents, congratulated Americans and the peace loving people of the world, emphasising that Obamas emergence was hinged on the principle of equity, justice and fairness which must be the hallmark of all elections.

He said the victory has further re-remphasised the dreams and statements of late Martins Luther King on the need to break the barriers of race, colour and prejudice in the spirit of equity and fairness saying "This is a day of history it is not about colour"
